40 HOUR HAZWOPER TRAINING

Our class meets the requirements for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response, under 29 CFR 1910.120. Our small classroom setting offers opportunities to discuss your specific issues. Instruction includes lecture, video, demonstrations, interactive review, workshops, hands-on activities. Each student receives a student manual, a NIOSH pocketguide and a DOT Emergency Response Guidebook. Quizzes administered daily, wit a final exam administered on the last day. Certificates are issued upon successful completion.

8 HOUR HAZWOPER REFRESHER

Our eight hour refresher training class fulfills the annual requirements for general site workers, hazmat teams and incident commanders. Our competent trainers provide a lively review for this mandated annual requirement. Our small classroom setting affords participants the opportunity to discuss specific spill ad release scenarios. Certificates are issued upon successful completion. NJ TCH points offered for this full day class.

DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation for Shippers

Come find out what's new under 49CFR HAZMAT Shipping! This course meets the requirements of HM-126F, 49CFR §172.700. We cover General Awareness and Function Specific Training, including classification, labeling, marking, placarding, packaging, loading and unloading, shipping papers, emergency response and security. This class can serves both initial ad refresher training requirements. Cost includes a copy of the 49 CFR §100-185, the DOT emergency response guidebook, DOT labeling/ placarding charts, other hand-outs. Maintain your certification as a HAZMAT Shipper. Remember - training records are typically the first thing a HAZMAT inspector from DOT reviews. Make sure your training is current by meeting the 3 years refresher requirement. Certificates are issued upon successful completion.

IATA Dangerous Goods Transportation for Shippers and Offerors

Building on your DOT HAZMAT Transportation Training, this seminar provides you with the necessary tools to prepare shipments by air. In this class you will learn how to navigate the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations, the requirements for preparing packagings and following packing instructions, proper marking and labeling, and completing the Declaration of Dangerous Goods shipping papers. We will also review state and operator variations. This class incorporates numerous hands-on activities to help the participant familiarize themselves with the regulations. IATA Training is required every two (2) years!
Note: It is highly recommended to have DOT training prior to attending this class. See our schedule for DOT HAZMAT training. We recommend (not mandatory) students to bring their 49CFR 100-185 to this class. You will be required to use the IATA DG Regulations. You may bring your own copy (must be current – 2008) or purchase from PTP to use on the day of the training. When you register, please indicate in the comments section if you will need a copy of the regulations.

RCRA Hazardous Waste Management

This course is geared towards hazardous waste generators that are required to understand the fundamental regulatory requirements that apply to their facility. After explaining the regulations in 40 CFR §260-265, the class focuses on workshops and case scenarios to aid students in their understanding as to how the rules apply. We also review the relationship with the DOT requirements for transportation of Hazardous Waste. Each student receives a student handouts and a student workbook on the fundamentals of the hazardous waste regulations. Certificates are issued upon successful completion.

OSHA Construction - 10 hour course or the OSHA General Industry - 10 hour course
